Moritz Fehr in Zusammenarbeit mit Theresa
Schubert
( DV, 2:45 min, Loop)

In the video Formenflimmern, the flickering of six windows,
filmed in the darkness, forms the compositional framework
for coincidental music.
The facade of a house was recorded
during the night until sunrise and is shown as a time-lapse
film. Behind each window, a TV set is running, showing one
film as the only source of light. Each TV set shows a video
representing a different kind of selected television programme;
for example action film, advertisement, cartoon or news broadcast.
The individual films have not been altered in their speed
or sequence. The individual rhythm of each film is translated
into sounds, whereby the volume of the sound is proportionally
related to the intensity of the flickering. The total duration
of Formenflimmern is equivalent to the typical length of a
music video.
